Our victory in the 1956 Osaka Campaign, which prompted the newspaper headline: “The impossible has been achieved!” During that struggle, I exerted myself with every ounce of strength that I had. I travelled all around Osaka humbly asking for people’s support. I always showed my genuine respect and appreciation to the fellow members who strove alongside me. I welcomed them and saw them off, as if they were Buddhas. Some cynical individuals laughed at me, but the result was a great victory that no one had expected. I won through my sincerity and integrity as a person.
