Daisaku, the more responsibility you have, the earlier you should start the work day.”

Working in Mr Toda’s company, I learned many life lessons. His words are constantly echoing in my ears:

Daisaku, the more responsibility you have, the earlier you should start the work day.”

“Seek the best in all things. First-rate people attract first-rate people. Always show others utmost consideration and build good relations with them.”

“In organisations and companies, the people at the top must work the hardest. Always take the initiative. Make the effort to personally meet as many people as you can and establish positive connections. That’s the real meaning of success.”

Mr Toda taught me everything he knew about the responsibilities of a leader. Leaders should never leave things up to others; they should always stand in the forefront and open the way forward, he stressed.
