这位中国人民的老故人即是池田先生。在70年代，他致力于中日友好，也曾获周恩来总理病中接见。他是恢复邦交正常化的日本人“功臣“， 

In the 1970s, he was committed to Sino-Japanese friendship and visited Premier Zhou Enlai during the Premier’s illness. He is the trailblazer (a Japanese) who restored the normalization of diplomatic relations.
