Having learned of the passing of Komeito founder Daisaku Ikeda, I stand in profound grief at the sudden news. On behalf of all of us at Komeito, I offer my heartfelt condolences to his family.

Mr. Ikeda, who served as Honorary President of the Soka Gakkai, has followed our party closely as its founder, and our appreciation for his care and support rendered over so many years only deepens over time. Komeito is committed to Mr. Ikeda’s founding mandate of always advancing together with our fellow citizens, a mandate we will abide by and carry forward in perpetuity.

I would like to express my deep gratitude to Honorary President of the Soka Gakkai, Daisaku Ikeda for the outstanding contributions he made while alive and for the legacy of inspiration he leaves for us all. We pray for his peaceful repose and extend once again our most sincere sympathies for his bereaved family.
