Palauan President Remengesau presenting Presidential Honorary Award of Highest Recognition to the Ikedas on(Tokyo, June 14, 2002.

The monumental achievement for peace that SGI President Ikeda pursued throughout his life will continue to illuminate the world far into the future. I fondly recall the first time I met President Ikeda in June 2002. I am determined to inherit his aspiration and spread the movement of peace through education and culture, with all my friends. In addition, I take pride in the encouragement I received from President who addressed me as ‘the champion of the environment’ and I will dedicate my life vigorously advancing the global environmental protection.

Ikeda Sensei dedicated himself to the struggle for peace and was the ‘advocate for conscience’ for all generations. The greatness of a person lies in their perpetual connection to society.
