“On March 6, 1958, I had appeared in court in relation to the Osaka Incident. It was a time requiring me to intensify my fierce battle against the devilish nature of authority, waged in staunch defense of my mentor and the Soka Gakkai. I keenly felt the importance of my mission to vanquish the forces of the three powerful enemies of Buddhism by speaking out fearlessly to set the record straight. I was determined to spare nothing of myself to protect the Soka Gakkai, the organization that my mentor declared was more precious than his own life. I felt a deep and powerful sense of mission.”
