After stepping down from the presidency in 1979, I relaunched my struggle, starting with one home visit at a time, and now the great people\u2019s movement of the\u00a0<\/span>Soka<\/span>\u00a0Gakkai has grown to embrace the entire world.\u00a0<\/span>\u200b<\/h4>\n

My personal way of repaying my debt of gratitude to my sincere fellow members was to fight rigorously to protect them from those who betrayed the Gakkai. I believed that my struggle would clearly demonstrate the integrity and truth of the Gakkai, an organisation of the highest good.\u00a0<\/span>\u200b<\/p>\n

\u200bMy visits to the homes of pioneering members continued. I also spoke warmly with their children and their little grandchildren.<\/span>\u200b
\nMy 200<\/span>th<\/span>\u00a0home visit was to\u00a0<\/span>Shoichi<\/span>\u00a0Tanaka, who had worked so hard alongside me during our campaign in Tokyo\u2019s Bunkyo Ward [in the 1950s].\u00a0<\/span>\u200b
\nMy 300<\/span>th<\/span>\u00a0home visit was to a couple who were pioneering members in Kanagawa Prefecture. I had learned that the wife was ill, and I stopped by to offer my wishes for her recovery.\u00a0<\/span>\u200b
\nMy 500<\/span>th<\/span>\u00a0home visit was to a courageous family in Ehime Prefecture [in the Shikoku region] who had endured persecution at the hands of the local priests. That visit took place on a cold day in February 1985.<\/span>\u200b<\/p>\n
