Shin\u2019ichi first visited the Malaysia Soka Kindergarten in December 2000.<\/p>\n
\u201cThank you!\u201d said Shin\u2019ichi. \u201cAre you all studying hard?\u201d The children answered in happy voices. \u201cLet\u2019s sing a song!\u201d suggested Shin\u2019ichi, and the children\u2019s enthusiastic voices soon filled the room. Shin\u2019ichi waved his hands and swayed his body in time to the music. The children watched him with excitement.<\/p>\n
Hearing from the principal that the children could speak Malay, Chinese, and English, Shin\u2019ichi said with a smile: \u201cThat\u2019s remarkable! In the future I hope you\u2019ll be able to be productive citizens anywhere in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n
Shin\u2019ichi said to his wife Mineko: \u201cWhat cheerful, happy children. I\u2019m so glad to see this. I\u2019ll always remember their faces. I\u2019ll never forget them. I feel as if I have met the future today, and that future is filled with the light of great hope.
