Shin’ichi<\/span>\u00a0never failed to show consideration towards the\u00a0<\/span>Taokas<\/span>. In those days,\u00a0<\/span>Kin’ichi<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Taoka<\/span>\u00a0operated a rice business. He would come home from his shop in the evening, but whenever he found a meeting going\u00a0<\/span>on\u00a0<\/span>there he would stealthily enter the dining room, finish his supper and then disappear.\u00a0 One evening,\u00a0<\/span>Shin’ichi<\/span>\u00a0caught a glimpse of\u00a0<\/span>Kin’ichi<\/span>\u00a0from the back room where a meeting was being held.\u00a0<\/span>\u200b

\n“Mr\u00a0<\/span>Taoka<\/span>!” he called out in a loud voice.\u00a0<\/span>Kin’ichi<\/span>\u00a0gave up all hope of sneaking away, summoning his courage, entered the room, looking embarrassed. “How do you do, Mr\u00a0<\/span>Taoka<\/span>?”\u00a0<\/span>Shin’ichi<\/span>\u00a0greeted him pleasantly. “I always deeply appreciate the efforts of Mrs\u00a0<\/span>Taoka<\/span>.” “Oh, you are flattering Mr Yamamoto,”\u00a0<\/span>Kin’ichi<\/span>\u00a0replied, bewildered at\u00a0<\/span>Shin’ichi’s<\/span>\u00a0flawless courtesy. The people in the room smiled at the heart-warming exchange between the youth and the elderly man.\u00a0<\/span>\u200b

\nAs it turned out,\u00a0<\/span>Kin’ichi<\/span>\u00a0did not hate the practice of faith. In fact, he had converted some of his friends. He had however, tried to keep clear of the leaders because he detested those who dominated the members. Now, meeting the pleasant\u00a0<\/span>Shin’ichi<\/span>, he realised that he had been wrong to resent all leaders. Furthermore, he learnt that\u00a0<\/span>Shin’ichi<\/span>\u00a0had been anxious to talk sincerely with him, to encourage him to develop unflinching faith. He felt not so much ashamed as sorry for his misunderstanding. Later,\u00a0<\/span>Kin’ichi<\/span>\u00a0became a district leader and in a few years took the place of his wife as the capable leader of one of the strongest chapters – the fruit of the discipline with which\u00a0<\/span>Shin’ichi<\/span>\u00a0had trained him.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
