In my youth, I launched a momentous new wave in our great people\u2019s movement from here in Kansai. I was about the same age of many of you here today. I will never forget the memories of those days when I gave my all alongside my friends in Kansai. . . .\u00a0<\/span>\u200b<\/p>\n

\u200bThe campaign we waged in Osaka in 1956 heralded the dawn of the victory of the people. The newspaper headlines shouted, \u201cThe Impossible Has Been Achieved.\u201d I fought with all my might in that campaign. I travelled all over Kansai. So I have fond memories of each town and city. . .\u00a0<\/span>\u200b\u200b<\/p>\n

I hope that you, too, will create history. . . . It is crucial that you keep on striving to the end, that you live courageously through all obstacles and write an indestructible history. . . . .\u00a0<\/span>\u200b<\/p>\n

It was also here in Kansai that I suffered persecution by the authorities, just like that which the\u00a0<\/span>Daishonin<\/span>\u00a0describes in his writings. I bore the full brunt of the schemes of the three powerful enemies of Buddhism in the Osaka Incident in July 3, 1957. . . I was 29 at the time.<\/span><\/p>\n
