I acted as a \u201cshield\u201d and \u201cbreakwater\u201d in rigorously protecting my mentor, and for more than 60 years have also done so for the community of practitioners of the\u00a0<\/span>Soka<\/span>\u00a0Gakkai, an\u00a0<\/span>organisation<\/span>\u00a0of\u00a0<\/span>Buddhas<\/span>.<\/span>\u200b<\/h4>\n

Today, numerous streets, bridges, and parks in the America and around the world are named after\u00a0<\/span>Mr<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Makiguchi<\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>Mr<\/span>\u00a0Toda. Citizens of many countries respect the first two presidents of our\u00a0<\/span>organisation<\/span>\u00a0as great figures of the 20th century who fought for peace and the welfare of humanity. This recognition has been won as a result of the outstanding efforts that our SGI members have been making to contribute to their respective communities. Uniting their hearts with mine, they are cheerfully walking the noble path of\u00a0<\/span>Soka<\/span>\u00a0mentor and disciple.<\/span>\u200b<\/p>\n

It is my imperishable\u00a0<\/span>honour<\/span>\u00a0that I have made the names of these two great mentors of\u00a0<\/span>Soka<\/span> known throughout the globe by sharing their lives and achievements with people everywhere.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The mentors and disciples of\u00a0<\/span>Soka<\/span>\u00a0have borne the brunt of every unimaginable slander and attack, battling devilish functions inside and outside of the\u00a0<\/span>organisation<\/span>, while working to extend our great citadel of good fortune, friendship, and peace to 192 countries and territories around the world.\u00a0<\/span>\u200b<\/p>\n

I firmly believe that our tireless efforts for\u00a0<\/span>kosen-rufu<\/span>\u00a0and our magnificent actual proof of victory demonstrate that we are the true heirs of the\u00a0<\/span>Daishonin<\/span>, who called on his disciples to follow his example and practice with the same spirit he did.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
