Ikeda Sensei has always said, \u201cEducation is the finishing touches of life\u2019s undertaking.\u201d He held an unwavering belief that the only way to build a peaceful society is to foster youths who will shoulder the future.<\/p><\/div>\n

Soka Gakkai was founded on 18 November 1930, as \u201cValue-Creating Education Society\u201d by the Japanese educators, Makiguchi <\/span>Sensei<\/span> and Toda <\/span>Sensei<\/span>. <\/span><\/span>It was both Makiguchi and Toda <\/span>Sensei<\/span>\u2019s wish to <\/span>establish<\/span> a value creating educational institution one day. It was Ikeda S<\/span>ensei<\/span> who <\/span>realised<\/span> this compassionate vow of Makiguchi and Toda <\/span>Sensei<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Soka Junior and Senior High School were opened in Kodaira, Tokyo in 1968. Soka University was opened in Hachioji, Tokyo on April 2, 1971, which marked the 100th anniversary of Makiguchi Sensei’s birth, and also the date of Toda Sensei’s death.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In 1973, Soka Girls’ Junior and Senior High School (currently Kansai Soka Junior and Senior High School) opened in Katano City, Osaka. Thereafter, Ikeda Sensei established Sapporo Soka Kindergarten, Tokyo Soka Elementary School, Kansai Soka Elementary School, and Soka Women’s College one after another. In 2001, Soka University of America opened. In addition to Sapporo\u2019s, Soka kindergartens opened in Hong Kong, Malaysia, and South Korea. Soka School System in Brazil has schools from kindergarten to high school. \u201cSoka International School Malaysia (SISM)\u201d held its long-awaited first entrance ceremony in August this year.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Soka school system continues to produce “global citizens” who are dedicated to the happiness of humanity.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He founded <\/span>the Min-On Concert Association (Min-On) in 1963 and the Fuji Art Museum in 1983. Min-On has had exchanges with 112 countries and regions, <\/span>and a total of 120 million people have appreciated their performances. Fuji Art Museum feels proud to achieve a collection of 30,000 items and has held 50 special exhibitions of cultural exchange overseas.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
