We should keenly reflect on the\u00a0<\/span>Daishonin\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0profound commitment to the Law. When we treasure the Law more highly than our own life, we will have the courage to confidently speak out for what is right without fearing anyone. Herein lies the ultimate essence of faith.<\/span>\u200b<\/p>\n

Since meeting Mr Toda more than six decades ago (on August 14, 1947), I have championed the noble cause of the Soka Gakkai and proclaimed the ideals of our movement widely throughout the world, without retreating a single step. I have been able to summon the power to do so because of my unwavering commitment to realising the vision of my mentor, a great leader of kosen-rufu, which is a goal more precious to me than my own life.<\/span><\/p>\n

In other words, I stood up and took action with the spirit to rigorously protect the <\/span>Soka<\/span>\u00a0Gakkai \u2014 the organisation carrying out the Buddha\u2019s intent and decree \u2014 and to foster its development around the globe in accord with Mr Toda\u2019s fervent wish!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
