As the Dean of the Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel at Morehouse College in Atlanta, he has been instrumental in fostering dialogue on social justice and spirituality.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:200,&quot;335559740&quot;:276}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Daisaku Ikeda, on the other hand, is a Buddhist philosopher, peacebuilder, and educator. He is the founder of the Soka Gakkai International (SGI), a global Buddhist organization, and has dedicated his life to promoting peace, cultural exchange and education.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Carter also commissioned the Gandhi Ikeda King Hassan Institute for Ethics and Reconciliation in 1999 and created the Gandhi-King-Ikeda Community Builder\u2019s Prize of the Morehouse Chapel in 2001. They have engaged in dialogues and formed initiatives that aim to bridge cultural and religious divides, promoting a vision of global harmony and cooperation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Carter is truly more than just a close friend or disciple to Daisaku Ikeda. This is especially based on his recent posts on his official Facebook (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/lawrenceedwardcartersr\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/lawrenceedwardcartersr<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\">) and one particularly, which quoted words by Ikeda (though mentioned by latter in 1999), it is as though Ikeda is preparing for his ascension and Soka will only need a President to run day-to-day operations. We are no longer in an age when one should shoulder everything and the future of an organization lies in the hands of everyone working hard for kosen-rufu, and for the victory of others.<\/span><span
