I have\u00a0built a network of friendship and trust that\u00a0<\/span>extends around the world. I wish all our members to\u00a0<\/span>be well, joyful, and happy\u2014all my actions stem from\u00a0<\/span>that.\u00a0It is\u00a0with that aim that\u00a0I have\u00a0spoken out\u00a0<\/span>honestly about what is true and false. Ensuring that\u00a0<\/span>honest, decent people\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0have to suffer is my\u00a0<\/span>responsibility, and the responsibility of all leaders of\u00a0<\/span>kosen-rufu<\/span>. Leaders who forget this responsibility\u00a0<\/span>can fall into arbitrary, personal views that will distort\u00a0<\/span>and damage the ties between our members, who are\u00a0<\/span>united in the spirit of \u201cmany in body, one in mind\u201d.<\/span>\u200b<\/p>\n

I hope all Gakkai leaders will stay free from conceit\u00a0<\/span>and self-importance and strive with complete\u00a0<\/span>integrity and sincerity. Compassion, an expression of\u00a0<\/span>the life-state of Buddhahood, also shines forth from\u00a0<\/span>sincere actions.<\/span><\/p>\n
