Daishonin<\/span>\u00a0accomplished the purpose of his\u00a0<\/span>appearance in this world \u2014 that is, the inscription\u00a0<\/span>of the Dai-<\/span>Gohonzon<\/span>\u00a0for the enlightenment of all\u00a0<\/span>humankind \u2014 after seeing his followers in\u00a0<\/span>Atsuhara<\/span>\u00a0intrepidly demonstrate the faith\u00a0<\/span>attitude of \u201cnot begrudging their lives.\u201d In other\u00a0<\/span>words, the\u00a0<\/span>Daishonin<\/span>\u00a0achieved his life\u2019s purpose\u00a0<\/span>and fulfilled his vow for\u00a0<\/span>kosen-rufu<\/span>\u00a0precisely\u00a0<\/span>because disciples appeared who would carry on\u00a0<\/span>his vow.<\/span>\u200b<\/p>\n

Stated another way, the disciples\u2019 perpetuation\u00a0<\/span>of his vow means that each of them is solidly\u00a0<\/span>developing faith dedicated to realising\u00a0<\/span>kosen-<\/span>rufu<\/span>. The foundation of such faith is the spirit of\u00a0<\/span>\u201cnot begrudging one\u2019s life.\u201d Carrying on such\u00a0<\/span>selfless dedication represents the heritage of\u00a0<\/span>faith in Buddhism!<\/span><\/p>\n
