From the time of my youth, I have always striven in the vanguard, personally bearing the brunt of all persecution. Reassuring Mr Toda that I would take care of everything, I dedicated myself with every fiber of my being. Those were extremely turbulent times. I exerted myself tirelessly on behalf of my mentor from early in the morning to late at night. Mr Toda trusted me completely, and would call me to his side, no matter where he was or what was happening. I stood up alone and triumphed over every challenge. It was through those struggles that today’s Soka Gakkai was built.
