Tsunesaburo Makiguchi, used to often say to his family, “In the future, there will be a school that puts the ideas of value-creating education into practice. It will be a system that guides learning from kindergarten through university. The young Josei Toda will see to it that my work is carried forward.” Mr Toda said to me, his disciple, “Let’s work together to establish Soka University, if not in my generation, then in yours. I’m counting on you. Let’s make it a world-class university!​
