The court case relating to the (Osaka) incident was weighing heavily against me, and even my attorneys told me that I should prepare myself for a guilty verdict. But the members of the women’s division in Kansai were determined not to be defeated and chanted single-mindedly for my victory. And on January 25, 1962, justice indeed prevailed, with the judge acquitting me all charges. That day is now commemorated as Kansai Women’s Division Day.
