I will never forget the sight of Mr Toda weeping as he held a copy of a newly published revised edition of the Theory of Value, the great work of his own mentor and the Gakkai’s founder Tsunesaburo Makiguchi who had died in prison for his beliefs. “I am determined to have the world recognise Mr Makiguchi!” he declared passionately. I, too, vowed to make the world recognise the achievements of my mentor, who had been defamed and slandered during his lifetime. Today, all those lies and malicious slanders have been put to rest, and the truth has triumphed. The mentors and disciples of Soka have won!​
