Now, in the 21st century, the Soka Gakkai shines brightly as the “pillar” of Japan, the eyes” of the world, and the “great ship” of humankind.  

As long as the mentor-disciple spirit of Nichiren Buddhism that has been solidified in the present age through the selfless struggles of the first three presidents — Mr. Makiguchi, Mr. Toda, and myself — is maintained, the Soka Gakkai will flourish. I would especially like the members of the youth division, the successors of our movement, to deeply engrave in their hearts this formula for victory in our movement for kosen-rufu.
